This department is open to exhibitors ages 5-8 per Benton County Fair General Livestock Rules. All general livestock rules apply, along with the following regulations:
1. Clover Buds must be ACTIVE Benton County 4-H members in GOOD STANDING at nomination, entry, and fair time. Exhibiting in another county fair in the same year is prohibited. 2. Exhibitors must own their animals. 3. Beef heifer show rules apply females only, registered animals must fit a registered breeding beef class with papers, and commercial heifers must weigh at minimum 400 lbs.
4. Class breakdowns will be determined by the superintendent based on exhibitor needs, not necessarily by breed, age, or weight.
5. All animals will be inspected INSIDE the trailer before entering the barn. If any are contagious, the ENTIRE TRAILER will be sent home.
Beef Section 5: Beef Showmanship
There are four( 4) divisions of showmanship for 4-H & FFA members.
1. Clover bud( 5 to 8 years of age)
2. Junior( 9 to 11 years of age)
3. Intermediate( 12 to 13 years of age)
4. Senior( all junior exhibitors 14 years of age or older)
