PHOTOGRAPHY-ADULT DIVISION
the judge’ s discretion, which is final. Judging criteria will include, but is not limited to, appropriateness of subject matter to the class entered, technical quality( sharpness, print quality, presentation), appropriate print size, composition, use of color or contrast, lighting, impact, creativity, and style. Blue ribbons will be awarded to photos that meet or exceed all or most judging criteria. Red ribbons will be awarded to photos that are deficient in meeting some criteria. White ribbons will be awarded to photos that have considerable deficiencies in meeting criteria. The judge may elect not to award a ribbon.
7. Amateur photographers ONLY in the Amateur Division. A photographer is considered an amateur if they have never received compensation for photography work or for a photo.
8. The Pro Division is open to any professional or semi-professional photographer who has received compensation for photography and / or photos.

Sections: 1-Black and White
2-Pro
2-Color
Classes in each Section for both Divisions: 1. Man Made: Man-made items including still life, architecture, floral arrangements, etc.
2. Nature: Elements of nature or natural landscapes including wildlife, plant life, and natural formations, but may not show the hand of man.
3. Portrait: Any photo showing a person or persons in a posed or placed setting.
4. Action: People and animals in action. Includes sports, children at play, etc.
5. Landscape: May include people, animals, and buildings and may show the hand of man. 6. Animals: Photos in which animals are the dominant feature of the photo. 7. People: Candid photos in which people that are not posed are the dominant feature of the photo. 8. Photojournalism: Any view involving man or his environment that might be seen in a newspaper or magazine to communicate news.
