Classes in each Section for both Divisions : 1 . Man Made : Man-made items including still life , architecture , floral arrangements , etc .
2 . Nature : Elements of nature or natural landscapes including wildlife , plant life , and natural formations , but may not show the hand of man .
3 . Portrait : Any photo showing a person or persons in a posed or placed setting .
4 . Action : People and animals in action . Includes sports , children at play , etc .
5 . Landscape : May include people , animals , and buildings and may show the hand of man .
6 . Animals : Photos in which animals are the dominant feature of the photo .
7 . People : Candid photos in which people that are not posed are the dominant feature of the photo .
8 . Photojournalism : Any view involving man or his environment that might be seen in a newspaper or magazine to communicate news .
