Book Review
This is a brief, no short, work focused on revenge. It is an easy read. The plot is tightly done and the intrigue level does well in sustaining the reader’s interest. Bouncing in and out of first and third person is a little confusing in the beginning but lends an air of mystery. As stated, the plot revolves around a self-proclaimed, part-Italian sex-pot seeking revenge on the members of the jury that wrongly found her Father guilty of manslaughter and in essence condemned him to life in prison. Along the way, Cara, (same name as the author – see the possibility for confusion?) engineers the demise of all 12 jurors while in the process “acquires” a chain of hotel properties. All neatly wrapped up and presented to the reader along with a litany of justifications. It was a fun read, but I wonder if the writer ever heard of an expression that goes like this – ‘Revenge is mine sayth the Lord!’
