Just when you thought it was save to go looking in the grass for that item that is lucky, just when you thought it was good to the bar for those who drink to have that special beer, just when you thought it was fine to start your spring cleaning which we need to do, it's Things That I hate: The Ides of March Edition. For those who don't know, The Ides of March is an Irish saying. Before I being ye tale, ye following must be announced. All things that I hate are solely mine and in no way represent the views, staff, or sponsors of Bending Reality Magazine.
For this edition, two things that I hate plus a true story for ye to see. Let's begin shall we. One of the things I think of the month of March, I think of spring training, aka the beginning of baseball. I can hear it now. "Get your peanuts here!" or "Get your beer here!" You know what I mean. Now, what do I hate about this? I will tell you. Things cost much more inside the baseball stadium then they do outside. Why do they do this? Simple obviously. Things cost more money when you're at a sporting event then outside. How can this be fixed? Depending on where you are, you can get peanuts, water, and other baseball favorites outside cheaper than inside, but keep an eye out because bags will be searched.
The second thing I hate about the month of March is about Spring Break. Specifically, I'm talking about this. Don't you hate when you are about to go on a trip to Florida for Spring Break when stuff happens? While we can't do anything about if it does happen, this is why I hate Spring Break. Why is the timing of Spring Break not the same? Why is it different? What do I mean? Depending on where you are, Spring Break will come usually the fourth week of March. However, there are some places where Spring Break is on the third week of March or perhaps not at all. Why can't it just be at the same time?
Now for the true story. When I was working at a pizza restaurant, there was the typical job of putting green food coloring into the vanilla ice cream mix, thus making green soft serve ice cream. I made the mix and putted into the machine. However, I didn't realize that I bumped into the machine which turned on the ice cream. About a minute later, someone said, "Oh no!", so I looked. I saw what happened. I turned off the serve part of the ice cream machine and went to clean it up. I was slightly embarrassed even though everyone there had a quick laugh. Eventually, I made a new batch and it went fine.
This concludes this edition of Things That I Hate. Hope you enjoyed this reading as much as I did typing this out. Now if you excuse me, I got to get ready to read some music for I am a musician and I got to get ready for some concerts. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour at the appropriate time. Until next time, I'm out! Peace!!
