Chronic infl ammation occurs over a long period
of time, poor nutrition can be a cause. What foods
cause infl ammation? Foods high in starch, sugars,
refi ned carbohydrates, white breads, pastas, rice,
and pastries. Saturated fat, trans fat, fried foods,
fatty meats, and packaged foods with “partially
hydrogenated oils”.Which foods control and alleviate
infl ammation? Foods high in dietary fi ber: Whole
grains, brown rice, fruits, and vegetables. Fish, nuts,
fl axseeds, avocados, and olive oil with essential fatty acids. Eat less meat, more plant proteins.
