Marina Andrycich-Ojedaa New York based artist of Croatian and Peruvian heritage. In artistic practice, Marina's work functions most essentially as a means to describe and respond to happenings in her life. She admits defenseless to swaying moods and an assiduous mind, which scribbles the dialogue of her artistic language. Meanwhile Catarina Ferreira is a Portuguese-American artist. Her work deals primarily with the harmonies and contradictions that occur between her two cultures-- the conservative, modest European versus the liberated American radical.
Together they are American artists based out of the New York metropolitan area. They've lived alongside one another for over a decade, however remained inactive in one another's artistic practice. Now, they are entering a new phase as collaborative artists, directors and curators aiming to fuse their creative strengths through exploration of subject and transformation of space. These young ladies have emarked in a very admirable journey to follow some of their dreams in the ART world. In 2013 they launched a campaign using the kickstarter website in an effort to raise money to fullfill a very special and daunting dream that will take the abroad to eastern europe to a location most wont even think about steping foot on non the less move there for a few months and create what will become a ONE of a kind , great resume ad on with this unusual ART Installation / Exhibit. After months of hard work Marina & Catarina managed to joyfully celebrate their first victory after reachng their targeted funds for the project in the amount of $10,000.
After this victory the girls knew the game was on, so they proceeded to pave the road ahead leading them to emark on this journey and where today they are producing their conquered dream while adapting to a new culture, while leaving their comfortable and well known everyday routine behind in New York City.
