With summer time fast approachng it is important to remember that our four legged friends are as happy as you may be to share the lazy days of barbecues and playing on the pool or at the beach. But with all the fun and the sun comes along some important tips to keep them safe.

NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOG IN THE CAR. Though it may seem cool outside, the sun can raise the tempertature inside your car to 120 degrees Farenheit in a flash, even if you leave the windows down. Best thing to do when running around is to leave your furry loved ones at home.

Whenever you are outside best thing to do at all time is to have them on a leash. It will keep them from wondering around and getting lost. This can lead them to eating and drinking things that may make them sick. Did you know that cat are also trainable to walk on a leash.

THE KEY ELEMNT IN SUMMER HEAT WATER.

Be sure to have plenty for them when you venture out. No more tangles, be sure to keep your pets well groomed. This willl help their hair do what is designed for; insulate them and protect them from the sun. Best thing to do is to keep their hair trimmmed at all times usually thick hair & matted hair may trap too much heat.

HUMID DAYS ARE A CHALLENGE FOR OUR FURRY FRIENDS AS IT INTERFERES WITH THEIR ABILITY TO RID TEMSELVES OF EXCESS BODY HEAT. When we overheat we tend to sweat and when the sweat dries it takes excess heat with it. Did you know that our four legged friends perspire only around their paws. That along is not enough to cool their body. In order to rid themselves of excess heat ANIMALS PANT, as a result air moves through the nasal passages which picks up excess heat from the body. As it expells through the mouth the extra heat leaves along with it. This may be a n efficient way to control body heat but it is limitted in areas of high humidity or in close quarters.
