FROM THE

City OF INDEFINITE

For the autumn/winter 2014-15

the Arnoldo][Battois collection devotes more attention to craftsmanship and the uniqueness of the handmade. The inspiration has two different matrices: the Arts and Crafts and the Bauhaus, where the artisanal know-how is filtered by a rational design process, and the passionate Mexican folk world, full of bright and colors.

The collection develops the concept of luxury associated with the use of materials and workmanship of the highest level: mosaics of pony and tassel with bulges in relief inspired by the '30s in Bauci and Zaira, winding paths beneath the surface that create dynamic volumes in Moeca and Osertoea, delicate pleating fragmented by scales in Elefante and Colibrì. Soft and light pythons, with rubberized surfaces, are in the shades of teal, wisteria grey, black and olive green.

Orange karung is spotted by rust and brown livery.

Velvety and silky pony in yellow and orange is broken by vibrant black sharp cuts.

The galvanic are gunmetal like the cold and technical steel of Gropius chairs, in contrast with the dense and muffled surfaces of materials.

Lightness and softness are the elements that characterize the volumes with broken geometry; doctor bag, briefcase, cabas, tote bag, clutch and travel bag are reinterpreted in a contemporary way to meet the diverse needs of everyday life, enhanced by "limited edition" working.

The collection rediscovers the origins of the territory, through the union of design, craftsmanship and industry, to tell the excellence of "hand-made in Italy".
