Jen Janet is a model, singer, and BMI affiliated songwriter who was born and raised in a small town between Boston and Providence. She started her modeling career about a couple of years ago. Jen has been singing since she could talk. She began piano lessons at the age four and took up theater acting in grade school. In college Jen started a rock band, in which she is the vocalist and keyboardist for, called Blind Revision based out of Rhode Island. Her band did a competition in Boston which encouraged them to get more serious about performing. Blind Revision opened for a few festivals recently and went on their first tour last May. The band is really excited about their next tour coming up beginning in March 2018. They will be touring throughout the New England area and have more dates in the works for fall to go further south. Jen's friend from school inspired her to pursue a modeling career. She saw that her friend really liked it and decided to inquire by reaching out to her friend's management team. She felt she had finally gained the self-confidence she needed to pursue her career in modeling and did not want to pass the opportunity up. And she is now a published model. Jen Janet has walked the runway for fashion designer Nathalia JMag from season 15 of Project Runway. She also walked in the Rhode Island Fashion Week and Boston Caribbean Fashion Week among many other modeling projects for promotional purposes as well. She has been featured in Austere Magazine, Sopor Magazine, and Surreal Beauty Magazine, to name a few.
"Modeling was never something I thought I would do but my friend really liked it and I like photography so I did it and I liked it."
Jen expresses that she enjoys collaborating with other artists such as photographers and fashion designers and helping to make their visions come to life through her modeling. The photos that you see in this article are from her most recent photoshoot, titled The Secret Garden, that took place at the Providence Botanical Gardens in Rhode Island.
Musical Goal:
Jen states she is happy with Blind Revision and wants to see how far she and her band can go. She feels there are a lot of women that enjoy this genre of music. Jen is thinking of writing her own solo project someday but for now she would like to keep touring and creating music with her band.
"I would love to plan more shows across the U.S. And I would like to play at an international festival like Australia. I'm always going to write music, it's apart of who I am."
