Peggy McIntaggart Seagren:

Do you have any kids?

Neil Zlozower:

Yeah, I have one son, Zak, named after my little baby brother, Zakk Wylde.

Peggy McIntaggart Seagren:

Does he have any interest in doing photography or your photo company?

Neil Zlozower:

He doesn't have any interest in photography, we started our photo agency Atlas Icons in 2011. In this day in age there is so much privacy and thievery. I knew my photos would be infringed by tons of people because it’s so easy to right click on a photo and save it then use it. So, I gave Zak my son, the monumental task of starting to register all my images with the United States Library of Congress/Copyright office. Basically, if I'm bored now, what I do is scour the internet looking for people who have illegally used my photos, send them right to my lawyer, and we settle out of court for ridiculous money.

Peggy McIntaggart Seagren:

What kind of legacy would like to leave and what would you like people to think of you? Like, how would you like them to see you?

Neil Zlozower:

Well, I don't really care what people think of me because that's just an ego type of thing anyway when I meet people that don't know me personally, but they've heard of my photography reputation there always like, "Oh, Neil you're that legendary photographer and I've seen your photos for years and you've shot this person and that person."

Honestly to me, the guy that everybody says is that legendary photographer, that guy doesn't exist anymore. I don't even remember that guy, I don't really remember going on tour with Guns'N'Roses or Van Halen or Motley Crue. That was a different part of my life and yes, I know what I’ve accomplished and I did shoot some great photos, but when I die and I am no longer here, I want be remembered as a motorcycle/car aficionado/connoisseur/collector/enthusiast. That's what's most important to me, not the legendary photographer that shot all these bands. That doesn't mean much to me anymore.
