Mexican actress Blanca Araceli is making an impact in Hollywood as a Latina actress. She has always loved her culture, folklore and traditions, and has danced and taught Mexican Folk dancing for the past 30 years. When she came to Los Angeles 30 years ago, she realized that in the South East communities there were 10 cities but there wasn’t a single theatre or cultural site in the area for the people of the community to be exposed to culture. For these communities being in contact with artistic and cultural scene was considered a luxury.
This motivated Blanca to become the founder of Tierra Blanca Arts Center; a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the art of music, dance and theater to the greater Los Angeles. Tierra Blanca Arts Center has served the community by providing after school programs, festivals, plays, children summer camps among other cultural events and activities since 2003.
