dream job
What is your tip to look great no matter what
size of clothes one wears?
To look after yourself and carry yourself with confidence. It makes such a difference on how people
perceive you if you simply believe in yourself.
Where can you see your brand in five years?
I am very happy with where we are, and would like
to continue to see growth in the different areas of
our business, as in a wholesale (we have just scored
a new-still-secret-big account), expanding our
e-commerce business and developing our relationship with Simply Be. We are launching lingerie for
the first time in spring 2014. I hope we will see
an uplift hour of the recession and see happier
consumer spending, the start to our fall season has
been excellent. I also would love to do more television in the UK, as my brand always seems to benefit
a lot from any appearance.
Do you feel that a plus size fashion field has
changed since you started out?
I think the whole fashion industry has changed a lot
in the last 15 years. The boom of e-commerce and
explosion of social media platforms and bloggers
has changed the shopping habits in the whole
fashion industry. In plus size in particular the consumers have had a chance to voice their demands
for better choices in fashion forward collections
and I don’t think the choice for plus size consumers
has ever been better.
