far far away
what to see, try, enjoy in Barcelona
Sagrada Familia — a breathtaking basilica that was designed by Catalonia’s beloved
architect, Gaudi. Although it is a work in progress (set to be completed in 2026), this
perfect mixture between gothic and art nouveau is a real jaw dropper for sure.
Barri Gotic — walk the stone streets of the old town of Barcelona and find new hidden
gems around every corner: an old cathedral, Roman ruins, detailed water fountains.
Chances are you will take thousands of pictures - so much history and beauty there!
Montserrat — a mountain just outside of Barcelona that holds a Benedictine Abbey,
which helped preserve Catalan culture during Franco’s reign. The peaks at the top of
the mountain are rounded, unique and striking. The view from the top is not so bad either.
Passeig de Gracia — it’s pretty much the ‘Michigan Ave’ of Barcelona. Even if you
aren’t into shopping the architecture down this street is incredible. You’ll see Gaudi’s
‘La Pedrera’ and ‘Casa dels Ossos’ aka the house of bones.
