The timeless beauty products we turn to time and time again
Clarins Eau Dynamisante
When a medical student Jacques Courtin-Clarins came up with an idea
of a fragrance and a body treatment in one, he was on to a winner.
Today the red bottle, identical to the one created in 1987, is one
of the most popular wellness (and unisex) scents combining the fresh
aroma with caring and aromatherapy effects,
and one is sold every five minutes.
Chanel No.5
Coco Chanel, with the help of chemist Ernest Beaux, came
up with this new perfume in 1921. The scent, which was a mix
of jasmine, rose, sandalwood and vanilla, has been loved
by women ever since. Famously, Marilyn Monroe when asked
what she wore to bed, answered provocatively that it was
5 drops of her favorite perfume, Chanel No.5!
Maybelline
Great Lash Mascara
9
Maybel William and her brother Noel came
up with an invention of mascara after she
singed her eyelashes in 1917. Fifty four years
later, Maybelline (named after Maybel)
came up with its Great Lash Mascara. With
its iconic green and pink packaging, this
mascara is known all over the world, and
one is sold every 1.7 seconds!
