Dublin 2011: Neil, twenty-six is
unemployed, disillusioned and leaving for
Canada. Before he can his grandmother
asks him to read his great-grandfather’s
recently discovered memoirs. Neil delays
his departure again. With his girlfriend
in Canada growing impatient, and his
grandmother’s pleas for him to stay in
