A Cultural Comparison between the United States and Argentina

A few miscellaneous cultural differences we observed while spending time in Argentina

In Argentina, it is commonplace not to eat dinner until 10 or 11 PM and for dinners to last three or four hours.

Argentinians have been known to live in the same house and/or neighborhood for their entire lives. This has been atributed to the lack of mortgages present in Argentina due to hyper interest rates.

Argentinians converse, and even hold themselves, in a much more modest and quiet manor. It is rare for Argentinians to raise their voice during any point in a conversation.

Argentinians are known to value leisure much more than work, and it is rare to find Argentinians that work more than 40 hours a week.

Argentinians have extremely close relationships with many people, and only have a few classifications of friendship.
