The fourth and fifth grade talmidim gather on the mornings of each Rosh Chodesh in the Kaufman Beis Medrash to daven b ’ tzibbur with their rabbeim – singing Hallel , hearing Krias HaTorah and davening Mussaf . It serves as a preview for their eventual daily tefillah b ’ tzibbur , which will start in sixth grade , and a most fitting way to begin a new month of Torah and avodah .

A Taste of the Sweetness

The elementary school talmidim were treated to individual portions of fresh , frozen ice cream to mark the launch of the Yeshivawide Shnayim Mikra V ’ echad Targum program . The boys in grades 1 through 8 are encouraged to review the parsha each week as prescribed in Halacha , with differing goals depending on their ages . With the help of these sweet treats sponsored by the Women ’ s League , they are off to a great start !
