The Parsha Comes to Life
It was not feasible to bring a representative of every species that was housed in Noach ’ s Teivah during the Mabul , but thanks to the Yeshiva ’ s Women ’ s League , the precocious Pre-1A students of the Harriet Keilson Early Childhood Center got to spend time with quite a few of them--and the parshas hashavua came to life .
A delegation of farm animals visited the Yeshiva , including cows , sheep , goats , ducks , chickens , and a turkey . Each preschool class got a turn to pet , feed and be wowed by these friendly animals . It was just the latest example of experiential , hands-on learning at Yeshiva Darchei Torah .
