MESSAGE RESONATES
Rav Yaakov Bender, Rosh HaYeshiva, has been delivering
a new, weekly recorded message of chizuk for alumni. The
short messages – most are under four minutes in length -
are filled with inspiration related to contemporary issues,
often drawing on the weekly parsha or upcoming yomtov.
These join the popular ‘ChizuCast’ series of alternating
rabbeim and can be accessed at Darchei.org/ChizuCast.

careful with a ‘light’ mitzvah
as with a stringent one.” This
epitomized Sruly’s life.
Rav Avrohom Wachsman, an alumnus of the Yeshiva
and a maggid shiur at Mesivta Chaim Shlomo, delivers a
weekly shiur at the Mesivta on Thursday nights. Following
the acclaimed Shivti program of Beth Medrash Govoha,
the shiur examines a sugya in-depth, from the Gemara
through Rishonim, Acharonim, and contemporary poskim.
Extensive and beautifully designed marei mekomos
booklets are provided for each sugya.

Alumni Chesed Fund Update
The YDT Alumni Chesed Fund continues to help alumni
in financial need. In the 12 months ending October 31,
2019, the Fund distributed just under $175,000 in grants
and loans to alumni undergoing financial hardship. The
monies were raised – and, in most cases, contributed – by
