One in seven (14%) are on such tight budgets they would need to shut within a week, while one in 12 (8%) would need to shut down immediately. In light of this risk to operation, B&Bs would be willing to pay an average of 17% over the market price to have repairs carried out immediately, with 4% willing to pay more than double the market rate to get their business back up and running.
