A look inside the work and lives of some of the industry ’ s most innovative thinkers .
For the better part of a decade , Bryan Baeumler has been entertaining and educating audiences all across North America with a series of HGTV shows that includes House of Bryan , Disaster DIY , Leave it to Bryan and now , Island of Bryan . Bryan ’ s passion for renovations and construction began when he was quite young , spending childhood summers helping his father build their family cottage from the ground up . At just 14 , Bryan started his own handyman business , helping neighbors with odd jobs . Construction and TV were not always the plan . In fact , Bryan holds degrees in Political Science and Business and had planned to practice law but realized he would rather pursue his passion for building . This passion led to the launch of Baeumler Quality Construction followed by a number of projects under the Baeumler Brand including Baeumler Construction , Baeumler Approved , Baeumler Productions , Baeumler Media , and the Baeumler Family Foundation for Kids . Bryan and his wife , Sarah Baeumler work together on many of these projects . The iconic couple actually met in high school but they are not high school sweethearts . In fact , they did not start dating until 2001 , 10 years later ! The couple married in 2004 and are now parents to four children who join them on many of their adventures , including working alongside Mom and Dad as they renovate a resort in the Bahamas on Island of Bryan .

BRYAN BAEUMLER We had those road trips too , sitting in the back of the station wagon , eating fortune cookies , listening to Corey Hart ’ s Boy in a Box
