Parents Really Do Matter Parents must provide the necessary positive early interactions, experiences, and responsiveness a child’s early developing brain requires. We must understand the link between positive early experiences and optimal brain development. These early experiences are vital in shaping the brains of our children. Children who are “brain ready” are “school ready” and usually do well socially, emotionally, cognitively, and behaviorally. They'll have very little difficulty in finding success in the classroom. A positive early start becomes the foundation for the essential development of critical life skills
