Our growers work hard all year round to produce the perfect real tree . Each tree is fertilised , weeded and pruned to achieve an attractive tree that is uniformly shaped and evenly branched . However , not everyone wants exactly the same shape : some want a narrow tree to fit into a small space , and some want a luxurious wide tree that fills the room .
So , our growers skillfully prune the trees to suit different tastes , and they are labelled separately when harvested . Our narrower shaped trees are called ‘ Slymshape ’, and our medium-to-wide trees are labelled ‘ Classic ’. This allows you to pick the perfect tree for your home .
Our grower , Charlie Hood , oversees all the pruning work , and has developed different techniques to create a narrower shape . “ We prune all our trees in the early summer by pinching out some of the buds as they begin to grow ,” he explains . “ On the narrower trees , more pruning work is done lower down , and we sometimes use
