一 切 由 貪 靚 開 始
原本開間小診所，最後搞了個醫
美集團出來。雖說誤打誤撞，其
實也有跡可循。
我少年時代已經超級貪靚。中
二那年，我已經每日用百特叔叔
漿糊筆把眼皮黏成雙眼皮。那時
已經很想要雙眼皮，所以也會留
意一些整容的東西。我記得以前
有線電視有一個節目，請了不同
的整容外科醫生，有醫生講怎麼
弄雙眼皮；又講如何掀起一層皮
去削骨：拿起螺絲批跟鎚子打在
骨上。看完之後，我發現原來是
可以這樣做的！我不用削骨，但
我想做雙眼皮！」
那年十八，自己上網查醫生的電
話，打去查詢，原來要五位數字
的費用。那時候我覺得：這樣簡
單的事也要過萬元？「結果就沒
有弄，所以一直也是自己黏。雙
眼皮到我真的進了醫美行業，我
才弄。但真的是很貪靚，年紀小
時候已經有做facial的習慣，針
清、『傳統針清』、『突破性針
清』的什麼也試過。還 試 過 一
次做彩光，被收了3萬多元，後
來我發現那部儀器也不過值3萬
多元。」
貪靚，原來因為同學的一句說
話。「就是中二、十四歲那年，
有個雙眼皮的同學，她笑我：『
為什麼妳單眼皮的？』沒有她，
我可能沒有今日。」
除卻單眼皮這個所謂的「缺點」
，
當年的Jathy，樣貌到底如何？
不漂亮！整臉也是暗瘡，又
多油！」
THE PURSUIT OF BEAUTY
Having intended to open a simple
clinic in the first place, the clinic
became a large aesthetic medical
group. One can say that this was
pure luck or coincidence. However,
it turns out that there is a reason
behind all of this.
"I cared so much about my
appearance when I was young.
When I was in Form 2 of secondary
school, I already used Pritt glue
to stick up my eyelids so that I
would have double-eyelids. Ever
since then, I had wanted double-
eyelids and would pay attention
to things about cosmetic surgery.
I remember there was a TV show
on Cable TV which invited many
different cosmetic surgeons to
talk about different cosmetic
surgeries. They talked about how
double eye-lids can be created
through surgery and how bone
reduction is performed. After their
explanation that bone reduction
is done through hitting the bones
with screwdrivers and hammers; it
was truly eye-opening. However, I
did not need bone reduction but I
wanted double-eyelids!"
At that time, Jathy was 18 years old.
She searched for some cosmetic
surgeons on the Internet and
asked for a fee quotation. "It is

over $10,000 for the surgery! I
thought that it was too expensive
for such a simple thing, so I did
not have the surgery at the time. I
went back to sticking up my eyelids
with the glue until I finally got the
surgery done after I entered the
aesthetic medical industry. I really
cared about my appearance a lot
so I had been doing many facials,
extractions, 'traditional extractions'
and 'revolutionary extractions', just
to name a few. I remember there
was one time when I had an intense
pulsed treatment whereby the
salon charged me $30,000. I later
discovered that the device itself
only costed $30,000.
The reason why she cared so much
about her appearance was because
of a few simple words from her old
classmate. "I was in Form 2, only 14
years old. I had a classmate who
had double-eyelids. She teased me
and asked, 'why are you single-
eyelided?' Without her, I may not be
what I am today." Apart from her
single-eyelids, how did Jathy look
like at that time? "Not pretty at all!
Acne and oil all over my face!"
