T:皮秒激光在醫學美容界別而言,是一個擁有 最短脈衝時間的激光系統,主要用作解決色斑 問題。較短的脈衝時間可讓足夠能量更快地傳 達至皮膚更深層,同時卻不會破壞皮膚表層。 B:PicoWay這部皮秒激光儀器的原理是怎樣 的?有什麼特點? T: Picosecond laser in the field of medical aesthetics is a laser system with the shortest pulse duration mainly for resolving pigmentation problems. Which one is more important, pulse duration or wavelength? T: Both pulse duration and wavelength of picosecond laser are equally as important. Short pulse duration at range of 10 −12 second defines the laser as picosecond laser (ps). The pulse duration is so short that the energy which comes into contact with the skin's surface is reduced to the minimum. Further, such energy does not act through heating up the tissue but instead, the strong energy delivered behaves as acoustic energy hammering the pigmentation into our tissue. This is called the photo-mechanical effect. As for the wavelength of picosecond laser, it defines the depth of how far the laser energy can penetrate into the skin. Shorter wavelength such as 532nm is best for superficial pigmentation while longer wavelength 1064nm could target pigmentation in the deeper layer of our skin tissue. B: There are a lot of picosecond laser treatments in the market claiming that they are using “holographic lens”, so what is a “holographic lens”? What is the function of this lens? T: Holographic lens or micro-lens in the market can fractionate and convert a full laser light beam into fine needles of laser light. When these converted laser light travel to a focal point, the energy is so high that the skin tissues at the focal point would be evaporated. This is called laser induced optical breakdown (LIOB), which causes tiny injury that would trigger our natural body repair mechanism leading to skin rejuvenation - stimulated growth of collagen and pores tightening. However, only holographic can generate even energy for each laser light needle while micro- lens does not. B: What is the working principle of the PicoWay picosecond device? What are its features?
