THE COLOR BATTLE

Chandler Intermediate held their biggest fundraiser of the year through APEX , a fundraising company that promotes leadership and team-building while raising money for the school . CIS selected their annual “ Color Battle ” fundraiser , which had students raise money to be able to participate in a celebratory Color Battle filled with games and throwable colored chalk . The school ultimately raised over $ 10,000 , and they plan to continue to do it each year .
To start the event , the APEX team held a pep rally to get the students pumped about learning about leadership while raising money for the school . Students then received an access code that allowed them to sell “ pledges ” or “ shares ,” much like a pledge sold for completing a lap in a color run .
