Brownsboro Junior High Hits

This year , FFA welcomed a group of 8th graders into the program . They are enrolled into a class and are also able to participate in activieties with the upperclassmen . They also are able to compete and get a head start before coming to high school !
The 7th grade volleyball girls recieved first in their tournament .
For the past two years , Student Council , NJHS , and Yearbook students have put on a fundraiser for their school called the “ Great Paper Race .” The boys and girls from each grade competed against each other to get the most paper links hung around the school . Every day , students were able to purchase a chain for $ 1 to be added on to their collection . At the end of the fundraiser , the team with the longest chain link was rewarded with pizza and a free class period , and 2nd place recieved free breakfast donuts . They tallied up the points and the results showed the 7th grade girls placed first with a total of $ 548 raised . This year the school raised a total of $ 3,577 with the help of a community doner who donated $ 1,900 .
The Junior High also added 10 new tables for a total of 15 to their outside eating area . Students are able to sit outside for lunch to get fresh air and enjoy getting a break from eating in the cafeteria .
Science classes had a Christmas tree ornament contest where they made cubes to describe elements and show their creativity for the holiday season .
