Paul Korczyk is one of the legendary names in the history of the TBN simulation hockey leagues. Paul was originally drafted by the Indianapolis Racers in the DMSL S1 Entry-draft. Despite being picked as late as in the ninth round (83rd overall) in that draft, only a few seasons later he was already stepping up to GM that team, which he relocated to Arkhangelsk. During his seven season long career in the DMSL and BHL Korczyk also played for the Castlegar Castors and the New England Brewers. Paul Korczyk's BHL career also consist a period when he was acting as the Commissioner of the league.

Paul Korczyk was also one of the founding members of the ISHL. His Washington Rainiers was one of the teams that joined the league for it's inaugural season. After two and a half seasons Korczyk had to step down from the GM duties due to busier life outside the hockey and for the S3 the Rainiers wandered to Montreal where it was renamed as the Wanderers. A few seasons later the Wanderers turned to the Bears. Despite all those location and name changes Paul Korczyk remained as the member of the team for his whole ISHL career. He was also re-drafted to the new version of the Bears in the BESL, although he spent the majority of his only BESL season in the minors. After BESL S1 Paul Korczyk retired from the TBN simulation hockey, and the Bears didn't waste time to announce the retirement of the jersey number 12, the number that had always belonged to the founder of the franchise, and a true legend of the TBN leagues.

Bears' GM Miika Kemppinen's description of Paul Korczyk in one sentence: "As a person Paul Korczyk is one of the classiest guys and as a hockey player he is a legend".
