groups. I sell most of my work in my
own Facebook group. I do have a business page as well where I post regularly,
but there are many advantages to selling my work in the group rather than
directly from my business page. Instead
of listing new work every day I tend to
wait until I have enough ready to do a
larger sale, and the group format makes
that very easy. To my surprise, amusement, and pleasure, it’s become a fun,
welcoming, (and sometimes REALLY
silly) place to sell beads. I alternate between Facebook sales and Etsy updates
to try to cover all the bases. I tend to list
my newer, more experimental work on
Etsy, and the things my customers have
loved and asked to see more of, I save
for the auctions. That’s not a hard and
fast rule but in general, it seems to work
pretty well.
I’m in a good place about the direction my business is going and all the
great things that have happened in the
past year but I’m always thinking about
how to grow and improve. Recently I’ve
started to set more concrete, specific
goals for myself, and I find it helps a lot
to think not only in terms of what I’ll
be doing next week, but also in three
months, 6 months, or a year.
