design I lay out and every piece I create inspires the next one to be even better. It is also
about making things for people that they fall in love with and feel great wearing. It is
great to get messages from happy customers and photographs of them wearing the
jewellery I make. It makes it all very special.
You work with a lot of art beads, who are your favourite artists, designers and makers?
Mindy McGregor (Moogin), Lesley Watt (Thea Elements) Petra Carpreau (Scorched
Earth), Natalie Mckenna (Grubbi), Claire Lockwood (Something to do beads) and Robyn
Cove (RaggedRobyn) are some of my favourite artists. I absolutely love pretty much
everything made by Rebecca Anderson (Songbead) and Claire Lockwood (Something
To Do With Your Hands), oh and Leah Curtis (Beady Eyed Bunny), Caroline Dewison
(BlueberriBeads) and Niky Sayers (Bits of Niks Nats),
adore them too!
What interests do you have outside of creating?
I dabbled in South Asian music as a child, my singing career never really took off but I still love to
sing. I also love reading fantasy novels. My all time
favourite fantasy series is The Wheel of Time by
Robert Jordan.
