The quilt has 570 names on it, many of which have connections to Coshocton County. Pictured sitting on the quilt is a photograph of Hamilton’s great-grandparents, Anna and Clarence Powell, who were connected to the quilt’s history, and a Powell family history book. While the quilt was auctioned off, it ended up staying in Hamilton’s family because her great-grandfather Clarence Powell bought it for his wife because she had worked so hard on it. It is believed the winning bid was possibly $600.
