Bus competition at fair to raise money for schools

COSHOCTON – Fairgoers will see a new addition to ma-
chinery row this year. Three uniquely decorated school
buses will be featured near the AG Hall facing Seventh
Street during this year’s fair, and all fairgoers are invited

to vote with a monetary donation for your favorite one.
The three buses will be decorated by each of the three
school districts in the county and all the money raised
will go toward that school. Locked boxes will be locat-
ed near each bus where you can drop in a monetary
donation to support the school of your choice. Members
of the fair board will collect the money each night and
keep a tally on how much each school has raised.
“I’m good friends with Mary Knicely [secretary of the
fairboard] and she needed help in coming up with new
ideas for the fair this year,” said Amy Bourne, president
of the Ridgewood Music Boosters. “She saw it [the bus
competition] somewhere else and thought it would be a
