Dash for Cash Go Cart Race will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. The event is sponsored by a local group and will feature carts in a variety of classes as they race on the track at the grandstands. About 150 carts have signed up to run. “I think it was the consensuses of the board that the venue was getting a little stale,” said Rodney Adams, entertain- ment director for the fair. “There was too much repetitive stuff and people wanted to see some change.” Another new event this year that made its debut last summer at the grandstands is autocross.
