Junior School
Year One IPC Exit Point
Mr Thomas Waldron, IPC Coordinator/Year One IPC
Teacher
Students celebrated their learning in ‘Our world’. After
sharing some of their learning through the different
subjects, they broke off into groups and went on a
Treasure Hunt along with their parents. As well as
consolidating the students’ knowledge of their school
environment, this activity helps to strengthen one
their Personal Goals - ‘Cooperation’.
Later, the students worked together with their parents
to create a ‘nature’ tile for a mural. First, photos were
taken of something natural in the school environment
and then these were used to create a tile of art using
both natural and reusable materials. The mural, a
combination of all the tiles placed together, will
showcase and celebrate all of the students’ learning
during 'Our world’.
