Rise and Be Resilient
Gabrielle Hadipraja, Year 7
Parents and the Year 6 students were swarming
everywhere like bees in honeycombs as they
buzzed from one game corner to another.
Colourful posters were spread all over the Middle
School Commons hall. From posters to board
games, there were many vibrant displays. People
clustered together to see the Exit Point exhibit –
celebrating Year 7’s learning of their IMYC
Resilience unit.
Ms. Parveen Khatwani, a Year 7 parent,
commented, “Students put in a lot of effort and this
project was great.”
Mrs Maggie Eubanks, said: “The Year 7 expo was
phenomenal!! They did a great job in doing this,
especially for arranging the whole thing for the first
time. I did not help them at all. They studied about
resilience and got to experience it!”
The last point of the expo was a tour to the Visual
Art room, where students’ works were presented.
Mr Mark Thomas, Year 7 Art Teacher, did an
amazing job sharing his knowledge and artistic
techniques with the students.
Students enjoyed learning about Picasso and his
unique style. One of his paintings - “The Guitar” –
showed resilience in his work which students very
much appreciated.
