There ’ s a common saying that “ one should never trust a skinny baker .” While perhaps true in some circles , Elisabeth Farris of the blog “ Elisabeth and Butter ” proves that all wrong with her mouthwatering creations and her everything-in-moderation approach . It ’ s no wonder you ’ re as likely to see her in a Pure Barre class as you are watching her hunched over in the kitchen testing recipes and hand painting cookies . Along with the extensive research Elisabeth undertakes for each recipe posted , she prides herself on showing others that baking and cookie-painting is something not to be intimated by , but rather a skill anyone can learn and enjoy doing . Needless to say , I was intrigued and even more delighted to know that she taught cookie painting classes right in our backyard of Santa Rosa Beach , Florida .
