get lost in a sugar coma . Calories don ’ t count on vacation , right ?!
Conveniently located at the south end of Main Street in the heart of the community is Beachside Park , a beachfront lawn that ’ s never seen without a bicycle or two . Fly kites , have a picnic spread from Cowgirl Kitchen or simply bask in the summer sun and enjoy the surrounding homes while the sound of the Gulf can be heard faintly in the distance .
On Sundays year round from 9am-1pm , white tents dot along Barrett Square for the Rosemary Beach farmers market , selling everything from raw juices to organic vegetables , homemade bread , farm fresh eggs , and a gulf coast classic - smoked tuna dip .
Also on Barrett Square is Patchouli ’ s , an apothecary boutique that has been located on 30A for over 21 years . While you ’ ll find a unique variety of gifts for your bath , body and home , the locals know Patchouli ’ s for their custom scent bar where you can conjure up your own unique scent and order it as often as you need .
Because no vacation is complete without a little caffeine , let your nose guide you North on Barrett Square where you ’ ll find Amavida coffee , locally roasted fair trade coffee with a mission to support its coffee growers and sustainable farming practices . It ’ s a locally loved favorite with a second location in Seaside . Ask for a to-go cup of joe and walk next door to the Hidden Lantern , a locally owned book store with over 12,000 titles to peruse . With a crystal ship chandelier towering overhead and a cozy couch to curl up on , it won ’ t be hard to read the day away !
Rosemary beach is a peaceful getaway for any time of year , but if you truly want to have the town to yourself , visit in low season – between September and February . But be prepared to call Rosemary beach “ home ” - after all , everyone who comes here wants to stay .
