A social way to CONNECT & ENGAGE Whether sharing wisdom, providing professional opportunities, donating resources, connecting on social media, or simply beaming with Beach Pride, the leadership and engagement of alumni make an inimitable impact on current students and our community. That’s why a new series of alumni receptions has been bringing local alumni back together, to plug in to the goals of CSULB and help build a better Beach. > Reception at the Home of Mike and Dalia Lugo. John ’69 and Bernadette ’75, ’92 Tellez shared a recent inspiration with the group. “Bernadette and I recently visited the University of Arizona. We were driving up the Speedway, which is the north side of campus, when boom: huge signage and a beautiful building. The U of A Alumni Center. It hit us that that is exactly what we’ve been working toward at home. A visible focal point on campus for alumni, that alumni can travel to and always feel at home.” > Reception at the Long Beach Home of Ken Miller In October, former ASI President Ken Miller ’69 convened with 16 fellow ASI presidents to reflect on the past, plan for the future, and affirm their support of the Alumni & Visitor Center Project. Supporting the Anna W.
