STURDY STEPS THROUGH HEATH AND SAND
Hoge Kempen National Park is a real hiking paradise , where you will find just about every type of landscape Limburg has to offer . The long-distance National Park Trail includes a whopping 110 km of hiking pleasure , but here we focus on the 24 km stage two . Via this part of the Trail , you hike from south to north across the edge of the Kempens Plateau . Along the way , you discover the heathland and Ziepbeek Valley . On the Mechelse Heide , you look out over the entire Meuse Valley , enjoying panoramic views of Dutch Limburg as far as Germany . This stage connects three gateways of Hoge Kempen National Park : Pietersheim , Mechelse Heide and Terhills .
