What qualities does Gene look for in a woman?

Gene wants a strong connection with a woman spiritually and emotionally. “She must love The Lord”, Gene says. “Engaging conversation and how well we communicate with each other are also extremely important to me.” He is attracted to a goal-driven woman and one that challenges his thought process. He is drawn to a woman that gets him out of his comfort zone and makes him want to achieve more.

What is Gene’s ultimate career goal? Gene continues delivering award winning programming and entertaining audiences on all levels. He also successfully manages other projects including women’s fragrances and a clothing line. Gene is very skilled in the areas of entertainment and entrepreneurship and plans to add a television platform highlighting individuals who shape the culture in Jacksonville by way of areas like entertainment, politics and sports, to his list of achievements.

What advice would Gene share with single women? Let him find you and focus on building a friendship within the relationship and not the other way around.

What would Gene consider the best date? “The two of us sharing a milkshake… Less is more!”

What are Gene’s pet peeves? It would undoubtedly be sharing business outside of the nucleus of the relationship and disloyalty.

Who is God in Gene’s life and what does he do to enhance the Kingdom by spreading the Gospel? In Gene’s life, God equals having a heart of service. Through his gifting as an on-air personality, his acts of service to the community naturally demonstrate his kingdom work. Gene does much to serve mankind as he speaks to audiences on various topics including responsibility and entrepreneurship. He aids the homeless through an initiative he created in 2012 called, “Hats for the Homeless” where he distributes hats, blankets and other coverings to the homeless population in Jacksonville during the colder months. He also continues to establish effective programming for young African American males in the community with his self-created “Be Your Own Brand” and “Our Boys Matter” workshops. These 6-week workshops allow Gene to work directly with boys to strengthen their skillsets and attitudes as they approach manhood.

What does being a Kingdom man mean to Gene? “Any man whose accepts his purpose to search for and step into the will of God for his life, even when it’s not popular to do so, is a Kingdom man”, says Gene. He goes on to say, that “it means remaining faithful even in the toughest of times and staying connected to Him as he moves forward in that purpose.”
