GENT E CALP
English Coordinator
This year is my 4th year teaching 2nd grade at CALP. Before I
came to Ensenada I had been teaching for the Long Beach Unified
school district, mostly in Avalon, on Catalina Island where I was
born and raised. I am a proud alumni of CSU Long Beach, where
I got my masters in Education and bachelor’s in sociology. In my
experiences, through teaching and having great mentors, reading
has captured my heart as an educational tool that brings families
together and bridges gaps where there is indifference. This
childhood passion of mine has become my professional “soap
box”. Personally, I love to travel, usually to warm tropical locations
with a beach a stone’s throw away. It has been a pleasure the work
with CALP families, students, and staff for the past 3 years and I
look forward to many more in the future.
