First Wessex are a Hampshire-based housing
association providing homes and services
within local communities.

ased in Hampshire, though also accommodating
parts of Surrey, First Wessex is responsible for the
provision of homes and a range services for use by
residents living in the twelve constituencies which
it covers. As a housing association, First Wessex,

in correspondence with the aims of the government, is committed
to providing housing solutions which can cater for the needs of a
wide range of clients. Working in partnership with local councils,
contractors, consultants and developers to deliver the security and
comfort which comes with making home – whether rented or
owned, the association consistently goes beyond satisfying its customers – exerting a conscientious approach to urban planning and
property management.
Being a tenant of one of the association's homes, affords the
security which comes with distinctly hands-on landlord. First
Wessex shoulders the responsibility of any maintenance or repair
work needing to be carried out on both a one-off and regular basis.
The organisation offers a range of tenancy schemes, primarily
catering for those on low incomes and in need of social housing.
1,703 of First Wessex's properties are currently let under the government's “Affordable Rents” scheme, the income of which helps
fund the building of new homes. As well as the organisation's
imperative – accommodating those in greatest need – it also has
