Making ( More ) Beautiful Music
Owen Middle School received a $ 10,000 grant to boost their strings program ! Black Mountain Swannanoa Valley Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina awarded the money . The grant will be used to purchase instruments and music . Specifically , OMS
intends to purchase 5 violins , 3 violas , 4 cellos , 2 double basses , 1 double bass rack , and music .
Ms . Madeline Welch ’ s 7th grade strings class is learning some new music .
