The Blount County Public Library has some awesome winter programming lined up for 2025 and into 2026! In December, the Children’ s Department ramps up the holiday cheer with our annual Santa Night! Join us on December 9th, 5:30- 7:30 PM in the Main Gallery.
Santa will be visiting the library to meet families & enjoy hot cocoa, holiday music, and other fun activities!
HOLLY JOLLY JUBILEE CONCERT SERIES
Is music more your thing? Join us for our Holly Jolly Jubilee Concert Series from 6- 7 PM in the Main Gallery! Join us for live performances of holiday music as we welcome the Anderson String Quartet on December 11th and the Knoxville Opera Quartet on December 16th.
NOON YEAR’ S EVE CELEBRATION
Don’ t want to stay up late on New Year’ s? Celebrate a little bit early with fun activities & a balloon drop after a countdown to noon at our Noon Year’ s Eve celebration on December 30th, 11 AM- 12 PM in the Children’ s Area.
TWEEN NIGHT
Our Tween friends can join us from 6- 7 PM on the last Thursday of the month for Tween Night! Also on January 29th join us for Library Clue: It’ s up to young detectives to solve the case!
WINTER WONDERLAND PARTY( Ages 13 +) For our teens we have our Winter Wonderland Party( Ages 13 +) on December 18th, 4- 6 PM. Teens can join us for a holiday party at the library! Wear your ugliest sweater, enjoy festive music, and wrap gifts with friends. Fun, prizes, and holiday cheer await!

And in January get ready for Game On! January 22nd, 4- 5:30 PM in the Teen Room! Think you’ ve got the brains & the boldness to win it all? Join us for Game On! We’ ll put your knowledge to the test by playing trivia games inspired by some of your game show favorites.

YOGA
Finally, don’ t let the holiday stress get to you! Come to our weekly yoga class every Monday night! Our Gentle Yoga Class is for ages 16 + and meets Mondays, 5:30- 6:30 PM in the Dorothy Herron or Sharon Lawson Room. Explore
