Steve Bennett, TransitionPlus
Originally from Nottingham, Steve studied Chemistry before
joining Johnson Matthey’s Colour and Coatings business.
Following a 20+ year career working in a number of coatings
businesses worldwide, with personal experience of Technical,
Operations, Commercial & Business management responsibility,
Steve made a conscious career move into senior- level
recruitment. Establishing TransitionPlus Ltd in 2004 to offer executive level search and
associated services, he has developed a strong track record of finding and delivering the
best possible people into their new positions. An experienced NED and Chair, Steve has
coached and mentored individuals, teams and businesses to stronger performance and
is a passionate believer in “Pay It Forward”. Most recently, he has also developed the
Business of Science conference, awards and events programme.”
Steve Elliott, Chemical Industries Association
Steve Elliott joined the Chemical Industries Association in
1997. He was appointed Chief Executive in 2006, having
served as Head of International Trade and Director, Trade &
Competitiveness, and Director, Business Environment.
Steve currently sits on the Board of the Involvement and
Participation Association (an employee relations think-tank), is a member of the Process
Safety Management Competence Board and is involved with a number of committees
within Cefic (the European Chemical Industry Council). Former roles include President
of the European Chemical Employers Group and Chair of the Energy Intensive Users’
Group – a position he took up again in Septembe
