The IST METZ “ Hot Swap ” product concept works across sheetfed , web and narrow web printing applications to offer printers the option of switching between UV lamps and UV LED arrays . It is a stepping stone to more sustainable drying methods without compromise on effectiveness . These are two different ways of drying sheets , boards or other substrates and each enables work to be immediately finished and shipped ( ideal for fast turnarounds ) and gives work a huge aesthetic lift . The housing , cooling and electrical supply for both systems have been matched for the Hot Swap concept .
