Peter Collins, BCF Technical Consultant
Peter has worked in the coatings industry for over 35 years, at
ICI, Sonneborn & Rieck, and as Technical Director at the PRA.
More recently he works for the PRA as an Associate Consult-
ant and BCF as a Technical Consultant Peter leads our panel of
judges.
Professor Mike North, University of York
Mike is Professor of Green Chemistry in the Green Chemistry
Centre of Excellence at the University of York. His research
interests focus on carbon dioxide utilisation, sustainable catalysis,
green solvents and sustainable polymer synthesis.
Dr Nichola Hutson, Researcher and Consultant
New for 2017, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award will be given to a
BCF member company which, in the opinion of the judges, has clearly demonstrated
an outstanding and successful charity or CSR campaign across any aspect of social
responsibility. This may benefit the coatings industry as a whole or the company but will
have had the most beneficial impact on the public at large. It can include raising money
for charity, ensuring a healthy working environment through staff welfare and education,
and/or developing the local community.
Niki is a sustainable researcher, holding a PhD from the
Sustainable Consumption Institute (University of Manchester),
exploring the activities of an Industry Association in the greening
of industrial sectors.
Dr Forbes McDougall, Veolia
Forbes is the Head of Circular Economy at Veolia UK. Forbes
works closely with Veolia’s business development functions to
identify and develop new Circular Economy opportunities for all
commercial, industrial and municipal customers.
