“We are extremely pleased to
have received this award on behalf
of all our members involved
with standards work. We are
delighted to see that BCF member
participation in standards-making
has been recognised by the BSI
and we look forward to continuing
to lead the way in standards
development for the paint, coatings,
inks and wallcoverings sectors in
the coming years, at both a national
and international level.”
- Trevor Fielding, BCF’s
Regulatory Affairs Manager
It is these communications and campaigns which also saw the
BCF win in the Marketing Initiative of the Year category for the
DIY Safe Antifouling Initiative. Launched in Spring 2017, the
initiative aims to inform and educate boat o wners about the
hazards associated with antifouling their boats. The initiative won
as it demonstrated how a small trade association can create
a significant impact by uniting multiple sectors with the same
message under a creative marketing approach. More information
