Digital THermometers

BBQ'ers rely on digital thermometers to give a bit of precision to their cooking, to know when when is cooked safely and correctly. The bit of kit we most rely on is a Thermapen probe type. Bombproof and reliable. We thought we'd take a look at a couple more bits of kit that you may not have seen from ETI Thermoworks that have the same reliability.

The DOT is a brilliant bit of kit and often overlooked. The key for this is simplicity, it's a single probe that goes into your meat, and has a great big display. If you're not straying too far from your smoker and not too fussed about the temperature of your smoker then this has to be a winner in terms of simplicity and reliability The alarm is simple to set and loud.

I use them on my BBQ classes and it's great to show people that it's the internal temperature of meat cooking that is really important without having to lift the lid of the BBQ all the time. A winner for price and simplicity at under £35.

If you're after a two probe remote thermometer, there's really not much better than the Smoke, with a great big easy to read display, a probe for the meat and one for the smoker. This is a robust bit of kit.

The handheld receiver is brilliant too giving a large readout display with all the info and a solid alarm. The RF signal goes at least 300ft range, so enough for most gardens to get a signal indoors.

A really decent bit of kit that will last for £78.

The discount code on the Thermapen site will give you a nice discount for both these products..See advert on previous page.
